Valga is designed to improve your search experience with more accurate, private, and reliable results. We do not collect, store, sell, or share any personal information. The extension replaces Google's AI Overview with clearer, more trustworthy summaries.

What data we collect

  • We do not collect any personal data.
  • We do not track you or profile your usage.
  • We do not use analytics or telemetry inside the extension.
  • We do not transmit any information to our servers (we don’t operate any).

Data stored in your browser

The extension stores a single setting in Chrome Sync Storage:

  • enabled (boolean): whether Valga is active. This may sync between your Chrome profiles if you use Chrome Sync. You can toggle it off in the popup or remove the extension at any time.

How the extension works

  • The extension intercepts Google's AI Overview content and replaces it with higher-quality summaries from better AI models, providing more accurate and reliable information.
  • The extension processes search queries locally within your browser and does not send your search data to external servers. Your privacy is maintained throughout the process.

Website privacy

This website serves static assets for the landing page. We do not run tracking scripts. Your browser may send basic technical information (e.g., IP address) to the hosting provider when loading the site, as with any website.

Third parties

We do not share data with third parties. The Chrome Web Store may collect data in accordance with Google’s privacy policies.

Children’s privacy

Our extension is not directed to children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

  • Toggle the extension on/off from the popup at any time.
  • Remove the extension from chrome://extensions to delete its data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if functionality changes. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and publish changes here.
